My name is David Barnes. I am a 3rd generation piper and have been playing bagpipes since the age of 10. I have over 30 years experience playing at the highest level and some of the highlights of my career include the following;

I am a registered Adjudicator with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.
I have been the Piping Tutor for Edinburgh City Schools and for Highland Region Education Department.
I would now like to use all this experience to ensure that whatever type of function you are planning, I will do my utmost to make it run as smoothly as possible.
I have been Pipe Major of Dysart and Dundonald Pipe Band, Lothian and Borders Police Pipe Band, Queensland Police (Australia) and Polkemmet Pipe Band (all Grade 1 Bands).
I have played in front of various members of the Royal Family, also the Danish and Norwegian Royal Families and the Prime Minister of Australia. I was also personal piper to the Governor of Queensland, Australia.
I have taken part in many high profile events worldwide including the famous Edinburgh Tattoo, also the Berlin and Brisbane Tattoos
